Scope and Contents

The Fact Books in this collection were published between 1985-1986 and 2022-2023. There is a gap in the collection from 1986-1987 to 1989-1990, and also 2019-2020. The collection also includes some supplemental material from the Center for Institutional Effectiveness, under its current and former operating titles, which collectively date from 1989 to 2015-2016. These materials are mainly newsletters, reports, memos, surveys, and other data.

Abstract

The Center for Institutional Effectiveness provides the following decription of the Bergen Community College Fact Books: "The Bergen Community College Fact Book presents data relating to enrollment, graduates, faculty and other personnel, college finances and demographics. The Fact Book has several purposes: to provide data which may assist the administration in planning and decision making; to give the college community an overview of the student, personnel and financial profiles of the college; and to serve as a reference document that answers many of the most often asked questions about the college." The Fact Book has been published online since the 2008-2009 edition, which was also published in print. Print publication ceased after that year. Fact books from 2008-2009 onward can be accessed on the Center for Institutional Effectiveness' webpage under Institutional Research or through the BCC Archives' digital collection.
