Summary

The Office of Public Information (now the Office of Public Relations) produced a video series for public-access cable distribution starting in 1988. Titled, "On Campus...at Bergen Community College," the series ran for over three hundred episodes. Amelia Duggan, Director of Public Information and College Events, interviewed students, faculty, and other guests about programs and events at the college and social and political issues of the day. On Campus ran for over eleven years.

Currently, only a sample of the digitized videos from the On Campus series has been made publicly available through the BCC Archives' online collections. Links have been included for the available videos. All other videos in the collection are restricted to on-site viewing at this time. Please contact the BCC Archives for more information.

50 Files : 50 U-Matic tapes out of the series of 300 have currently been digitized into .MP4 video files.

Related Materials

The project that was funded by the BCC mini-grant allowed for the digitization of 50 U-Matic tapes. This included the 40 On Campus tapes in this collection, as well as 10 other tapes produced by the college. These videos are included in the Campus History collection.

Processing Information

The digitization of these 40 episodes of On Campus was made possible through a BCC-funded mini-grant. The digitization work was performed by Scene Savers. The 40 digitized episodes of On Campus were selected from the series of 300 episodes.
